● مقدمه
گیاه رزماری از قدیم الایام مورد توجه مردم بوده است. لیکن از آن به عنوان دارو استفاده نمی‌شده وعموماً در مراسم تشریفاتی و جشن‌ها ، بعنوان سمبل عشق و علاقمندی به کار می‌رفته است. رومیان قدیم برای اولین بار به کشت این گیاه اقدام نمودند و بتدریج در قرن اول میلادی به خواص درمانی این گیاه پی بردند و از آن پس این گیاه نیز بعنوان گیاه دارویی شناخته شد.
● خصوصیات گیاه شناسی
اکلیل کوهی (Rosmarinus officinalis) ، گیاهی است خشبی، چند ساله، همیشه سبز و متعلق به تیره نعناع (Lamiaceae) ، منشأ این گیاه مناطق آهکی نواحی مدیترانه گزارش شده است. ارتفاع این گیاه بستگی به شرایط اقلیمی محل رویش داشته و بین ۱ تا ۲ متر متغیر است. برگها سبز رنگ، متقابل، باریک ، بلند و نوک تیز است. سطح رویی برگ صاف و فاقد کرک است در حالی که پشت برگ سفید رنگ و پوشیده از کرک می باشد. گلها کوچک و آبی رنگ بوده و اواخر بهار از لابلای برگها خارج می شود. گلها به ندرت سفید رنگ است. گلهای این گیاه نوش فراوانی تولید کرده و شدیداً عسل آور است .
● مواد موثره:
برگها وگلهای این گیاه حاوی مواد موثره هستند . از اینرو پیکر رویشی اکلیل کوهی از بوی مطبوعی برخوردار است . مواد موثره این گیاه را اسانس، تانن و مواد تلخ تشکیل میدهد . مقدار اسانس دربرگهای خشک بین ۵/۰ تا ۵/۱ درصد می باشد. مهمترین ترکیبات اسانس را سینئول (cineole)، کامـفور (camphor)، بورنـیل استات (bornyl acetate) و اسید رزماریک تشکیل
می دهد. ترکیبات دیگر گیاه را موادی نظیر فلاونوئیدهای آپی ژنین، روتین، لوتئولین و کومارین های آمبلی فرون، هرنیارین تشکیل و اسیدهای گیاهی نظیر اسید کافئیک نیز در برگهای این گیاه وجود دارد .
● اثر درمانی
ترکیبات موجود در عصاره اکلیل کوهی به سبب تحریک متابولیسم و تسریع گردش خون سبب گشادکنندگی عروق و مویرگها شده و بدین ترتیب باعث تقویت و شادابی پوست و مو می گردد. این عصاره از ریزش مو جلوگیری کرده و لذا در تولید فرآورده هـای بهداشتی و آرایشی بر روی مو و پوست معمولی و چرب کاربرد زیادی دارد.
● سایرکاربردها
از گیاه رزماری همچنین در درمان فشار خون، نفخ و بی اشتهایی استفاده می‌شود. مصرف موضعی آن نیز دردرمان دردهای عضلانی و بیماریهای رماتیسمی کاربرد دارد. اسانس این گیاه خاصیت ضد باکتریایی و ضد قارچی شدید داشته و بعنوان طعم دهنده در داروهای بد مزه بکار می‌رود. همچنین مواد مؤثره این گیاه خاصیت نگاهدارندگی شدید داشته و در صنایع غذایی و کنسرو سازی کاربرد فراوانی دارد.
● فرآورده‌ها
از مواد مؤثره این گیاه پمادها و کرمهایی جهت درمان دردهای رماتیسمی و عضلانی تهیه شده است. اگرچه عصاره‌های پروپلین گلایکولی این گیاه بعنوان مواد اولیه تولید فرآورده‌های آرایشی و بهداشتی کاربرد فراوان دارد لیکن از عصاره‌های آبی و آبی الکلی و حتی عصاره‌های خشک این گیاه نیز درتهیه داروهای معالجه کننده ناراحتی های گوارشی استفاده می‌شود. مهمترین فرآورده های تولیـدی ازعصـاره های این گیاه شامل شامپوها ، نرم کننده های مو، لوسیونهای دست و صورت و ژل حمام می باشد.
